Senior Final Exams will take place from April 28^th – May 1^st

·       Seniors will take their 2^nd period exam on April 28^th  

·       Seniors will take their 1^st period exam on April 29^th  

·       Seniors will take their 3^rd period exam on April 30^th  

·       Seniors will take their 4^th period exam on May 1^st  

The 2^nd period exam will be taken in the middle of the day after Milestone testing.  1^st and 3^rd period exams will be taken in the mornings while classes are holding for Milestones.  The 4^th period exam will be taken in the afternoon at the standard 4^th period time.

Senior Last Day on Campus and Grade Repair

·       The Seniors last day on campus will be May 1^st if they have successfully completed all of their graduation requirements.  Any senior needing to take the Algebra I Milestone will need to report on the morning of May 2^nd.

·       Seniors who do not pass a class that is required for graduation may be eligible to participate in the Senior Grade Repair that will take place on campus from May 5^th – 7^th.  Information on the Grade Repair will be sent to eligible students once grades are finalized after May 1^st.

·       If a Senior is not eligible for Grade Repair, their counselor will communicate information about Summer opportunities or other options that will allow them to satisfy their graduation requirements.

Senior Clearance and Graduation Practice

Senior Clearance

·       The Senior Clearance event will take place on May 13^th

·       The clearance event will be held in the MHS auxiliary gym from 12 – 3pm

·       During this event, Seniors will need to do the following:

o   Return any school issued materials such as textbooks, chromebooks, uniforms, etc.

o   Pay any fines/fees owed to the school and/or Media Center

o   Pick up cap and gown if Herff Jones balance has been paid in full and student has not received cap and gown yet

o   Pick up yearbook (if available)

o   Be cleared for graduation by your counselor and receive your graduation tickets (25 tickets per graduate)

Graduation Practice

·       Graduation practice will be held on May 16^th beginning at 10:00am.

·       Students will need to report to the MHS Main Gym no later than 10:00am.

·       Practice will begin inside and will continue outside (weather permitting) onto the grass.  Students should dress accordingly.

·       Students with a speaking part will need to remain on campus after practice to go over speeches with the Graduation Team

Senior Awards and Recognition

·       The Senior Awards and Recognition Ceremony will be held on May 15^th at 6:00pm in the MHS Main Gym

·       Students will receive invitations at the Senior Clearance event on May 13^th if they are receiving an award or recognition at this event

·       Students will need to arrive and check-in in the MHS Auxiliary Gym by 5:30pm

·       This is a distinguished event and students should dress accordingly.  All outfits must adhere to school dress code.

·       Awards and Recognitions to be received:

o   Honor Roll and Distinguished Honor Roll

o   Club Recognitions

o   Pathway Completers

o   Senior Special Awards

o   Latin Honors Awards

Graduation Ceremony

·       The MHS Class of 2025 Spring Graduation Ceremony will be held at Atlanta Motor Speedway on Sunday, May 18^th

·       The ceremony will begin at 9:00am and graduates will need to arrive at 7:00am

o   Directions and parking information will be shared at the graduation practice and will be available on the website

·       Each student will receive an allotment of 25 tickets for their guests.  Guests of all ages must have a ticket to enter the ceremony.

·       The district’s clear bag policy will be in effect for this ceremony.  Individuals are encouraged to not bring a bag to the event, however, if a bag is necessary, it must meet the following requirements:

o   Bags must be CLEAR plastic, vinyl or PVC and not exceed 12” x 6” x 12”

o   Bags cannot be tinted with color or include oversized content that prevents visibility into the clear bags

o   Clear book bags are acceptable for use as diaper bags for adults who have infants or toddlers

o   Small, pocket-sized wallets are allowable in a clear bag

o   Any type of non-clear bag will not be permitted.  Exceptions will only be made for medically necessary items after proper inspection by security personnel.  Please ask for assistance at the gate.

·       Dress Code

o   Students may not decorate their caps for the ceremony and may not wear cords or stoles that are not issued by the school or district

o   It is strongly recommended that students wear the following under their gown:

§  Men should wear a collared shirt, black or dark colored dress pants, and black or dark colored shoes. Outfits must adhere to school dress code.

§  Ladies should wear a dress or dress pants/skirt and blouse.  Darker colors are recommended.  Outfits must adhere to school dress code.

§  All students should wear flat bottom shoes because you will be walking a good distance over uneven ground throughout the ceremony

§  Do not wear high heels for the graduation ceremony

·       Prom – Friday, April 25^th at the Starling Hotel - Fee Required

·       Winter/Spring Sports Signing Day – Tuesday, April 29th

·       Grad Nite at Six Flags – Friday, May 2^nd 7:00pm – 2:00am - Fee Required

·       Senior Brunch – Monday, May 5^th 10:00am – 12:00pm in MHS Aux Gym - Fee Required

·       Senior Bowling & Arcade – Tuesday, May 6^th 12:00pm – 3:00pm, Location TBD - Fee Required

·       Senior Cookout – Wednesday, May 7^th 12:00pm – 3:00pm at Warhawk Stadium - Fee Required

·       Top Golf Day – Thursday, May 8^th 11:30am – 1:30pm at TopGolf Midtown Atlanta

·       Senior Sign Out & Sip & Paint – Friday, May 9^th 11:00am – 2:00pm in MHS Aux Gym - Fee Required

·       MHS Athletic Choice Awards – Wednesday, May 14^th 6:00pm in MHS Main Gym
